Summary
Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing Services (DON):
Supervises nursing team members who provide direct resident care
Communicates with all healthcare providers and partners
Coordinates and implements nursing care as ordered by the physician and agreed to by the resident
Documents resident status/care/services in a timely, accurate, and comprehensive manner
Responsible for the provision of nursing services within the scope of licensure and in compliance with current standards of practice and corporate/care center policies and procedures
Follows the plan of care and ensures the overall health and well-being of each resident
Qualifications / Requirements
Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) RN or LPN license
Experience in skilled nursing/long-term care (LTC) preferred
Knowledge and understanding of federal and state nursing facility rules and regulations, including licensing, OSHA, CDC, and Public Safety
If licensed as an LPN, the Iowa Board of Nursing (IBON) requires the completion of a Board-approved supervision course within six (6) months of working in a charge/supervisory capacity
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Per the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable

Weekend Package Option: Yes; Every Other Weekend, 2p-6a (Sat/Sun); additional hours available throughout the week
Base Wage: $30.
