Driver - Non-CDL (Part-Time)

Position: Non-CDL Driver Status: Part-time/Seasonal Department: Drivers Reports to: Supply Chain & Logistics Manager Job Summary The Non-CDL Driver transports eggs and/or live fowl for the hatchery and provides loading/unloading assistance when needed.
General Responsibilities * Deliver day-old chicks to Post Office locations * Transport other fowl to the hatchery from various locations * Ride along with other drivers to load and unload day-old chicks * Participate in loading and unloading truck * Precisely finish all paperwork connected with conveyance of merchandise * Guarantee products are protected and secured * Be polite and professional in all customer and vendor interactions * Ensure timely conveyance of materials to and from places as instructed by manager * Remove all trash and personal belongings from the truck at the end of your trip/shift * Obey all traffic laws including wearing seat belts * Adhere to biosecurity protocols * Carry out routine checks on vehicles and ensure they are sound * Recognize all mechanical faults and report to the manager * Keep all records including fuel and vehicle maintenance receipts * Performs other duties as assigned by management Job Qualifications * At least 18 years of age * High School diploma preferred * Valid Driver's License * Speak and read English well enough to converse with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official questions, and able to make legible entries on reports and records Competencies * Customer Service * Team Player * Ethical Conduct * Tenacity * Problem solving/analysis * Organized * Effective time management * Continuous Improvement * Open-Minded * Flexible to Change Physical Demands * Capable of sitting, standing, or driving for extended periods of time safely, under a variety of conditions, including night driving * Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
